Watertown Grad Named Conference Rookie of the Year for Play at Hamilton College

Hamilton College forward Taylor Lambo ’26 (Watertown, Mass./Watertown HS) has been selected the 2023 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year by the conference’s coaches. Lambo also made the all-NESCAC second team and was one of 10 players who received all-conference honors. She is Hamilton’s first rookie of the year since the Continentals joined the NESCAC for basketball for the 2011-12 season.

Having survived a double overtime in the first round of the MIAA Div. 3 State Tournament, the Watertown High School boys hockey team skated to a relatively easy victory Saturday night, putting half a dozen goals on the scoreboard against Dracut/Tyngsboro. The Raiders won the Round of 16 game 6-2 at John A. Ryan Arena. Watertown Coach John Vlachos was confident his players would be ready.

Raiders Boys Hockey Triumphs in 2 Overtimes in State Tournament

Watertown Boys Basketball’s Comeback Falls Short in State Tourney

State Tourney: Watertown Boys Hockey Highly Seeded; Girls & Boys Hoops Get Home Games

Watertown High School’s boys hockey team will seek a second straight trip to the Garden as the fifth seed in the MIAA Div. 3 State Tournament. The girls and boys basketball teams will host a home game in the State Tourney.

WHS Sports: Hockey Team Hot, Big Comeback by Boys Hoops, Runners on Right Track

Charlie BreitroseThe Watertown boys hockey seeks another trip to the Final Four and the Final at the TD Garden after finishing runner-up in 2022. The 2022-23 season has been a hot and cold one for the Watertown High School boys hockey. The Raiders appear to be heating up in the latter half of the season as they look to return to the Garden for a second straight state final. The Raiders started the season winning four of their first seven games, and tying one. Then Watertown dropped four of six, and added another tie.

4 Watertown Athletes Garner Boston Globe All-Scholastic Honors

The Fall season had many highlights for Watertown High School teams — including a state championship and a rivalry victory at Fenway Park. For their role in the successful season, four Raiders received All-Scholastic honors from the Boston Globe.
