Police Log: Man Allegedly Strangled Domino’s Employee, Phone Hacked and $20K in Bitcoin Stolen

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Aug. 8, 10:43 p.m.: An officer at Church and Main streets saw a Toyota SUV go through a red light. The driver was pulled over and when the officer spoke with the driver it was discovered the man had a warrant for his arrest. Hufeyin Alaskan, 21, of Waltham, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Police Log: Three OUI Arrests, Man Arrested for Break-Ins

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Aug. 1, 10:45 p.m.: A license plate was stolen from a Toyota sedan parked in the Purple Garage at Arsenal Yards. The car had been parked there since July 30, and the plate was from Florida. Aug 1, 3:35 p.m.: A pair of women went into Ulta and took three bottles of fragrance, worth a total of $390.

Police Log: Man Arrested After Bumping Officer with Car, Multiple Attempted Vehicle Break-ins

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. July 24, 7:19 p.m.: A man entered Target and went to the men’s clothing area and put items into two reusable shopping bags he was carrying. Then he put household goods and groceries in the bags before leaving without paying. He had $107 worth of merchandise. July 25: A resident discovered her bank account had been hacked.

Police Log: Man Arrested for OUI in Police Station Lot, Shoplifter Caught with Scooter

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. June 14, 1 p.m.: A man pulled into the parking lot at the Watertown Police Station and encountered an officer in the authorized-personnel-only section of the lot. He was going at high rate of speed before he pulled up, and was honking his horn. The man yelled at the officer, who believed the man might be intoxicated. The man had an odor of alcohol, and glassy eyes.

Police Log: Man Faces OUI Charges, Resident Scammed Out of $60,000

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. June 6: A resident reported she had been the victim of a scam. In late February she was contacted by someone claiming to be an employee of Amazon, who said that numerous Apple products were being sent to an address in Albany, New York, using her account. The woman was not aware of the orders. She then spoke to someone who said he was a U.S. Treasury Department detective.

Police Log: SWAT Team Arrests Man in Connection with Shooting, Two Bikes Stolen & More

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department:

May 29, 6 a.m.: A NEMLEC (Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council) SWAT team came to Watertown to serve a warrant obtained by Randolph Police related to a shooting in that community on April 28. They served it at a home on Warren Street. During the search, six firearms were found, including one on which the serial number had been defaced and three that had been reported stolen. Shamere Ross, 33, of Watertown, was arrested on charges of possession of firearms, as well as for his involvement in the Randolph shooting. May 29, 1 p.m.: A man went into Nike carrying a shoebox.

Police Log: Man Caught Taking Items from Nike, Resident Reports Scam Email

The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Police Department. May 1, 12 p.m.: The manager at Nike reported that a man came into the store with a Target shopping bag and placed a shoe box in and left without paying. A pair of Jordan low sneakers worth $115 was taken. May 2, 6 p.m.: A man came into Nike and took a Tech Fleece sweatshirt priced at $140 and a pair of sneakers worth $75. May 2, 8 p.m.: A woman was seen going into Target and took $295 worth of merchandise, including clothing and cosmetics.
