Speak with people in the Watertown business community, non-profits and others about doing business during COVID and how to operate in the post-pandemic environment. The Watertown Business Coalition will be holding its monthly online networking event on Wednesday, June 16. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and will be held remotely on Zoom. This month’s forum will be an opportunity for the business community to discuss the challenges of our COVID altered reality and a path back to some level of economic normalcy. “Our online forum is free to Watertown Residents and our Business Community and will include general networking and breakout rooms. Find a comfortable place in your home with a cup of coffee or tea! Let’s get through these times together, Watertown!”

Get to Know Watertown Life Sciences in a Virtual Panel of Biotech Execs – Submit Your Questions

Leaders of Watertown’s newest industry will be talking about their companies and the influx of life science into Town during the Watertown Business Coalition’s virtual event. A recent survey found about 50 biotech firms located in Watertown of various sizes and stages of development. Get to know life sciences from a panel of five executives from four life science companies located in Watertown. The event will be held on Thursday, April 29 from 4-5 p.m. To RSVP click here. Watertown Cultural Council’s Grant to Help Business Coalition Create Arts Market

The following announcement was provided by the Watertown Business Coalition:

The Watertown Business Coalition is thrilled to announce that they have received funding through the Watertown Cultural Council. These funds will be used to help support the first ever Watertown Arts Market, to take place in Summer 2021. The Watertown Arts Market will be a free, outdoor celebration of the arts and culture created in the Watertown community. As currently planned, the event will feature local artists and arts organizations across all mediums, live performances/artists demonstrations, hands-on/community-created art, and food from local restaurants. The Watertown Cultural Council has continued to award grants throughout the challenges brought upon cultural organizations by COVID-19.

Business Group Seeks Input on Creating Neighborhood Identities, Cultural District

The Watertown Business Coalition has two upcoming virtual events to discuss promoting the different neighborhoods around Town, and creating a Cultural District. The group welcomes the ideas and input from businesses and residents. Neighborhood Identities

The effort to create stronger neighborhood identities emerged as an idea to boost local businesses during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic and moving forward. A virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

The event announcement said: “We will discuss ways we can rally around the idea of creating neighborhood identities and promote businesses and the communities within those neighborhoods.
