Watertown Business Coalition Hosting Coffee Connect at Local Business Fixture

The Watertown Business Coalition will be hosting a coffee connect on the morning of Jan. 18. The group sent out the following information:

Come out and network with members of the Watertown business community, local non-profits and others on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

This month’s Coffee Connect will be hosted by a business that has been a fixture in Watertown for decades — Eastern Clothing. Hear from owner John Airasian, who is also a Watertown City Councilor.

Watertown Business Coalition Fall Fest Features Local Vendors & Food

Join the Watertown Business Coalition for Fall Fest on Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at the Commander’s Mansion. Bringing together Watertown residents and the business community and kicking off Shop Watertown! Several local businesses, artists and others will sell items on the second floor of the mansion to kick off Shop Watertown (including Eastern Clothing, BLING and others). A coupon to use with the vendors will be included with the price of the ticket.

Discuss the Future of Business in Watertown at Upcoming Event

Local residents, business owners, employees and others are invited to add their voice to the City of Watertown’s effort to shape the future of business in Watertown at an event hosted by the Watertown Business Coalition. On Oct. 19 the WBC will host a networking event where City officials and consultants working on updating the Comprehensive Plan, Watertown’s primary planning document. The plan covers many areas, but the event focuses on business. The event will be at the Mount Auburn Cemetery’s Bigelow Chapel.

Networking Event at Kitchen Design Store Hosted by Watertown Business Coalition

Come out to one of Watertown’s newest kitchen design stores and network during the Watertown Business Coalition’s September coffee connect. Compass Kitchens, located at 110 Arlington St., will host the event on Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Grab a cup of coffee and a bite to eat and meet people from local business, non-profits and others. Also, hear a short presentation about how the proposed Fair Share Amendment would impact businesses. The event is free of charge

Watertown Artists Invited to Learn About Online Networking Tool

Watertown artists are invited to learn about making connections, marketing themselves, and how to use the online database called Creative Ground. The virtual networking event will be presented by the Watertown Public Arts & Culture Committee and the Watertown Business Coalition. The session takes take place on Monday, July 18, from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom. Creative Ground 2.0 is a relaunch of an online database of New England artists and cultural organizations hosted by the New England Foundation for the Arts, said Watertown Public Arts & Culture Planner Liz Helfer. “It’s a wonderful tool for artists to be found for different opportunities across the region, and a way for organizations to find artists and other organizations to work with,” Helfer said.

Charles River Chamber Hosting Free Networking Event in Watertown

The Charles River Chamber will host a free coffee networking event at Arsenal Yards in July. Make connections at the event at the River Green near Roche Bros. in Arsenal Yards. Also joining the event will be the Watertown Business Coalition. Members of both groups and non-members are welcome

The Charles River Chamber serves Watertown, Newton, Needham, and Wellesley.

Watertown Business Coalition Kicks Off Summer with Networking at Donohue’s

The Watertown Business Coalition invites the local business community, non-profits, arts organizations and others to come together at the kick off to summer at Donohue’s Bar & Grill. The free event will be at Donohue’s back patio on Wednesday, June 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

“We would be absolutely thrilled to see everyone! It will be cash bar with delicious Donohue’s appetizers. Please bring your co-workers, employees, significant others, friends, neighbors … let’s pack the house!” the WBC announcement said.
