The early morning sun shines on the snow left from Sunday’s snow storm. The Town of Watertown lifted its Snow Emergency parking ban at 8 a.m. on Feb. 8. More snow is expected Tuesday. Sunday’s storm dropped about 5 inches on the area.

The Superintendent of Public Works is declaring a Snow Emergency effective 12:00 Noon, Sunday, February 07, 2021. Watertown is expecting approximately 6-8 inches of snow with additional storms forecasted for later this week.
The parking ban called for the storm that hit Watertown Monday and Tuesday has been lifted. Public Works Superintendent Gregory St. Louis sent out the following announcement:
The Superintendent would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation during the snow emergency and would request that every resident assist in clearing of fire hydrants and catch basins in your area. Also, clearing of the sidewalk in front of your property would benefit all.
The Town of Watertown declared a Snow Emergency due to the impending snow storm forecast to hit the area on Monday afternoon through Tuesday. Also, the Watertown Schools will dismiss early on Monday, but the status of Tuesday’s school day has not been announced, as of 9:50 a.m. Monday. Superintendent of Schools Dede Galdston announced early dismissal times for the Watertown Public Schools on Monday. She did not announce plans for Tuesday, but said if a snow day is declared, there will be no remote learning, it will be like a normal snow day. See more details below.

A winter weather event is predicted with 8-10 inches of snow accumulation in our area. The Superintendent of Public Works has declared a snow emergency effective 6:00 p.m. Saturday January 19, 2019, and will remain in effect until further notice.

With another storm looming, the Department of Public Works has declared a snow emergency in Watertown. Vehicles will not be allowed to be parked on public streets, and could be towed. See more the announcement below:
A winter weather event is predicted with high winds and 6 to 10 inches of snow accumulation. The Superintendent of Public Works has declared a snow emergency effective 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 and will remain in effect until further notice. There will be no delay in trash pickup.
Tuesday’s Nor’easter has not arrived but has already closed town offices, and postponed events.
The Watertown Public Schools will have a snow day on Tuesday, according to the district website. The Town of Watertown announced that Town Hall, the Watertown Free Public Library and the Senior Center will be closed Tuesday, and Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting has been postponed. It will be rescheduled to Thursday, March 15 at 7:15 p.m.
Also, the Watertown High School’s boys basketball team’s state semifinal will be postponed and moved. The game was moved to Burlington High School at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A winter weather event is predicted with high winds and 10 plus inches of snow accumulation.
The Watertown Department of Public Works has declared a Snow Emergency, meaning on-street parking will be banned. The Snow Emergency begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 and is in effect until further notice. Cars will not be allowed to be parked on the streets of Watertown at any time, and those on the street are subject to towing. Parking Ban – On street parking will be banned and any motor vehicle left on the street will be subject to towing until further notice.
