Mother Struck by Car Outside Cunniff School, Taken to Hospital

A woman was struck by a vehicle as she was putting her child into a car seat outside Cunniff Elementary School on Thursday afternoon, and was taken to hospital. Watertown Police and Fire departments responded to the school on Warren Street at 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 2 after the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. “The mother sustained a lower-body injury and was transported to Beth Israel Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The child was unharmed,” the Watertown Police announced in a statement.

Watertown Woman Dies After Being Struck by Vehicle in Dedham

A pedestrian struck and killed on a roadway in Dedham has been identified as a Watertown woman. The Norfolk County District Attorney’s office identified the woman as Marguerite Scanlon, 63, of Watertown, according to a post on the Norfolk DA’s Facebook page. “The matter remains under investigation by Dedham Police Department, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police, and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office and no charges are in place at this time,” the message reads. The incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday on Bridge Street (Rte. 109) in Dedham, according to WCVB Channel 5.

Man Faces OUI Charge After Hitting Boy on Bike on St. Patrick’s Day

A Watertown man faces his second drunken driving charge after he struck a boy riding a bicycle just off Waverley Avenue on March 17. Just before 6 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, the 10-year-old boy was riding his bike across Bradshaw Street at Waverley Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a man later identified as Michael Marini, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. “Marini turned onto Bradshaw from Waverley,” O’Connor said. “The child suffered minor injuries and was transported to a Boston hospital.”

Pedestrian Struck in Watertown Square Overnight, Police Investigating

Parts of Watertown Square were closed Saturday morning so police could investigate an incident where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Overnight, a person was struck while crossing a street in Watertown Square near CVS, Watertown Police said. The adult pedestrian was taken to hospital, but the extent of injuries were not known. The incident remains under investigation.
