Robert A. “Bob” Manzelli, passed away on January 17th, 2022, at the age of 84. Bob was born in Roxbury, and was a longtime resident of Watertown and Rockport. 

He was inspired and driven to serve others. He attended Watertown High school and Huntington prep. He graduated from Boston College and received his active duty commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army in 1959, where he trained as an artillery officer. He was assigned as a reserve instructor in the 5th Howitzer Battalion, 5th Artillery. He was honorably discharged in 1968 as a 1st Lieutenant.

Jorge Fernandes of Watertown died on Jan. 13, 2022 at the age of 79. Son of the Joao & Madelena (Encarnacao Memdes) Fernandes. Beloved wife of the late Ana (Soares) Fernandes. Dear brother of Lurdes Furtado, Americo Fernandes, Joe Fernandes, and the late Rosa DePaulo & Fernando Fernandes. Loving uncle to many nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. 

Jorge was born in Madeira, Portugal.

Richard ‘Dick’ Greenough, Sr. Aged 91, died peacefully on Sep 17, 2021. Richard was born on October 15, 1929 to Richard and Mary Greenough. He grew up in Watertown and attended Watertown High School and Huntington Prep, where he made his mark as an outstanding football player. He met the love of his life and best friend, Gloria Anne Kelley, during high school in 1945. They married in 1948.

A Funeral Mass for Theresa A. “Pat” (Hobin) Falter will be celebrated on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown. A daughter of the late John Hobin and Mary Theresa (Donahue) Hobin, Pat passed away surrounded by her family Monday morning. She was a devoted parishioner of Saint Patrick Parish in Watertown, were she volunteered working in the food pantry and the bingo. Pat was born and raised in Dorchester. She was one of six children to John & Mary Hobin.

OBIT: John Flynn, 63, Served as Watertown Town Clerk for 26 Years

Long-time Watertown Town Clerk John Flynn. John “Jack” Flynn, who served as the Town Clerk of Watertown for more than a quarter century, died on Friday, May 7, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 63 years old. Born in Cambridge, he served as Deputy City Clerk and Principal Budget Analyst for the City of Cambridge before becoming Watertown’s Town Clerk in 1995. He retired in 2021.
