Kaos Club dispatches Finnegan Club in Game 1 of O’Brien-Jerahian Finals

The second seed Kaos Club jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 2023 O’Brien-Jerahian Legends League Championship Series defeating fourth seed Finnegan Club, 44-35 on Thursday evening. Despite a tight, back-and-forth first half which saw Kaos Club holding a slim, three-point, 21-18 lead, Kaos came alive offensively in the second half.

First Game of Legend Basketball League Goes to OT

Teams in the O’Brien-Jeharian Legends League final got underway Thursday with an overtime game. Pictures is action from the semifinals at Saltonstall Park. The Recreation Department provided the following information:

The Johnson Club survived an overtime challenge from the Finnegan Club, winning game one of the O’Brien-Jerahian Legend Finals by the score of 58-46. Danny Kelly led all scorers with 16, while teammate Jeremy Kullman chipped in 15 for the victors. Marcus D’Angelis and Mike Simoni scored 14 and 12 respectively for the runner-up Finnegan Club.

Finals Set for Watertown Summer Basketball League

The Watertown Summer Basketball League finals begin Aug. 19. The Watertown Summer League playoffs have been narrowed to the top two teams, and the finals begin next week. Top seeded HBC will take on the third seed, New Day, in the Papas Elite League finals. The Watertown Summer League features current and former college basketball players.
