Three Watertown Athletes Make Globe’s All-Scholastic Teams, One Named Athlete of the Year

A trio of Watertown Raiders earned All-Scholastic honors from the Boston Globe this fall, including one who was named the athlete of the year. Only a sophomore, Molly Driscoll, was named the top Div. 3 field hockey player by the Globe in its fall All-Scholastic teams. She helped Watertown win its first State Championship since 2017.

The Middlesex League All-Stars have been announced and Watertown High School boasts nearly 20 athletes from seven teams on the list

Watertown Field Hockey Grabs Spot in Final Four With Dominating Win Over Dover-Sherborn

Charlie BreitroseThe Watertown Field Hockey Team celebrates its Final Four berth after beating Dover-Sherborn on Saturday at Victory Field. Four goals by sophomore Molly Driscoll led Watertown in its 6-0 defeat of Dover-Sherborn in Saturday’s MIAA Div. 3 Round of Eight Field Hockey Tournament game. The Raiders added another trophy to its vast collection of awards with Saturday morning’s win at Victory Field. With the MIAA doing away with the sections, the Raiders got a trophy for making the Final Four.

Watertown Rolls Over Oakmont in the Round of 16 Field Hockey Tournament Game

Charlie BreitroseWatertown freshman Caroline Andrade scored her first varsity goal in the Raiders’ 6-0 State Tournament win over Oakmont on Wednesday. Watertown’s round-of-16 State Tournament game against Oakmont was over by the end of the first quarter, as the Raiders beat the Spartans 6-0 at Victory Field on Wednesday afternoon. Two Watertown players collected a pair of goals, and one player scored her first varsity goal in the MIAA Div. 3 State Tournament game.
