A Pair of Watertown Field Hockey Players Sign Letters to Play at Division I Colleges

For many years, well before they became members of the Watertown High School field hockey team, Maggie Driscoll and Lizzie Loftus grew up playing the game with one another. Last Friday, they continued their journey together by signing letters of intent to play in college. While both will be at NCAA Div. I programs, Loftus is headed to Brown, and Driscoll will play at Boston University.

Watertown Field Hockey Beats Triton to Grab Spot in Final Four

The top-seeded Raiders defeated ninth seed Triton 5-0 at Victory Field and received the trophy for making the Final Four of the MIAA Div. 3 State Tournament. Watertown Field Hockey Moves onto Round of 8 After 7-0 Win

Ashland kept Watertown off the board for nearly all of the first quarter at Victory Field on Tuesday, but by the time the quarter ended the Raiders had all the lead they would need to win the MIAA Div. 3 Round of 16 field hockey game. The final score was 7-0.

Undefeated Raiders Field Hockey Top Seeded in Tourney

Undefeated Watertown (17-0) officially received the No. 1 seed in the 2022 MIAA Div.

Watertown Field Hockey Team Making Headlines With Perfect Record

The Raiders have a winning streak of almost 50 games. Watertown High School’s field hockey team has found its rhythm and has had a nearly perfect season so far, and the Raiders grabbed the attention of the Boston Herald. Watertown has not lost any games on the way to a 16-0 record. The Raiders have kept a clean sheet in all but one game, and outscored opponents 100-1.

Three Watertown Athletes Make Globe’s All-Scholastic Teams, One Named Athlete of the Year

Charlie BreirtoseWatertown sophomore Molly Driscoll was named Div. 3 field hockey athlete of the year by the Boston Globe. A trio of Watertown Raiders earned All-Scholastic honors from the Boston Globe this fall, including one who was named the athlete of the year. Only a sophomore, Molly Driscoll, was named the top Div. 3 field hockey player by the Globe in its fall All-Scholastic teams. She helped Watertown win its first State Championship since 2017.

The Middlesex League All-Stars have been announced and Watertown High School boasts nearly 20 athletes from seven teams on the list
