Thank you all for coming to market this year — What a wonderful season. We had some tough weather days and appreciate all who continued to come out and support of our amazing farmers and vendors. Please join us this week for the last market packed with free bike checks, knife sharpening, kids activities with Watertown Families Together, good music, and delicious, local food! Come celebrate the end of the season with us, stock up for the next several weeks, and thank the vendors who make it all happen. We Want to Hear Your Voice!

Watertown Farmers Market Returns Soon With Extended Hours

The Watertown Farmers’ Market returns on June 7 and in 2018 they market will open earlier and go later. 

Once again, the Farmers’ Market will be held on the green at the Arsenal on the Charles (Corner of Arsenal Street and Kingsbury Avenue) in front of Panera Bread. The market will be open an extra hour — opening half an hour earlier and running half an hour later than last year. The market will features entertainment, and will have tables featuring community groups. Organizers seek more entertainers, community groups and would like volunteers (see details below). The market runs from June 7 to Oct.

Watertown Farmers Market Holding Grand Reopening Celebration

The Watertown Farmers Market is back and this week organizers will celebrate with a grand reopening featuring music, art and activities, along with the all the vendors. The Farmers Market is held at the Arsenal on the Charles, in front of Panera, on Thursdays from 2-6 p.m.

Final Watertown Farmers Market of the Year Has a Halloween Theme

The final Watertown Farmers Market of the season will feature a Halloween theme, complete with a cauldron full of treats. “Come in costume or as you are. We’ll have little toys for the little ones (non-candy) among the vendors and a special cauldron where adults can draw among a collection of tricks and treats,” Farmers Market organizers said. This week’s featured guests and music are:

Summer’s Over, but the Watertown Farmers Market Isn’t – See What’s There

The summer break might be over but you’ll still find a broad variety of the season’s harvest at the Watertown Farmers Market. Local farms and specialty producers continue to gather every Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. through until the end of October. On the front green of the Arsenal on the Charles, right on Arsenal Street in front of Arsenal Center for the Arts, the space is an exceptional place to enjoy the live music, grab a quick snack, and shop for delicious foods to bring home. Among the market’s offerings are farm-fresh vegetables from Kitchen Garden Farm, Paraveda Farm and The Farm School. Apex Orchards have several different varieties of apples.

Learn About Healthy Eating from Watertown Group at the Farmers Market

Live Well Watertown will kick off a series of healthy eating and cooking demonstrations this week at the Watertown Farmers Market. The Farmers Market runs from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at the Arsenal on the Charles, and features vendors with a variety of local food options. Live Well Watertown will have recipe ideas, have a seed planting activity for kids and there will be face painting. As a bonus, from 3-5 p.m., take a behind the scenes tour of the Farmers Market. Future events include cooking classes at the Watertown Free Public Library, which will also be taped by Watertown Cable for those who cannot attend. The series culminates the first year for the group which has the goal of promoting healthy living in town, said Stephanie Venizelos, project coordinator for Live Well Watertown.
