2 Watertown Students Make Honor Society, College Dean’s Lists

Phi Kappa Phi

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Coleman OBrien of Watertown (02472) at Framingham State University. Emma Grady of Watertown (02472) at Sacred Heart University. They are among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.

Watertown Students Earn Honors at Mass. Maritime, Champlain College

The following students from Watertown earned academic honors at their institution of higher learning. The following information came from the insitutions:

Mass Maritime Academy

Massachusetts Maritime Academy announced that Sean Donohue of Watertown was named to the President’s List for the Fall semester of 2023, and Aidan Campbell of Watertown was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall semester of 2023. At the end of each academic term, full-time student grades are reviewed. For students with no incompletes or grades below C-, term grade point averages are calculated and academic proficiency is noted as follows:

President’s List 3.6 or higher

Dean’s List 3.3 — 3.59

A cadet who appears on the Dean’s List or the President’s List is entitled to wear the appropriatedevice on his or her uniform. All ribbons will be awarded by the Vice-President of Academic Affairs or designee at the appropriate time.

University of Albany

The University at Albany has recognized Kainaat Yousuf of Watertown for selection to the Fall 2023 Dean’s List. The Dean’s List at the University at Albany recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of full-time undergraduate students. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher in their first semester of study and a GPA of 3.50 or higher in subsequent semesters.

Charlotte Deveikas of Watertown has been named to the University of Delaware Dean’s List for the Fall 2023 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

President’s List

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Fall 2023 President’s List. The fall terms run from September to December. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.
