The Commander’s Mansion is a historic venue that is available for events, with a capacity for up to 200 guests. Host your next corporate off-site meeting, Summer retreat, social gathering or wedding with us, it is the perfect backdrop for your next celebration!

Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion has big plans for its Holiday celebration. Organizers sent out the following information:

Halloween Activities at the Commander’s Mansion’s ‘Lil Monster Mash

Kids can come down to the Commander’s Mansion for some Halloween fun during the Second Annual ‘lil Monster Mash. The Town of Watertown sent out the following announcement:

The Commander’s Mansion & The Watertown Recreation Department invites you to join us for a FREE Family Friendly Event (suitable for grades K through 5th)

Watertown Arbor Day Celebration Features Food Trucks, Demonstrations

Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion will host a free Arbor Day Celebration on Thursday, April 27. The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 27, rain or shine. In case of bad weather, the events will be in side the Mansion, 440 Talcott Ave. in Watertown (behind the Arenal on the Charles).  

Grab a bite to eat from the food trucks (they accept credit cards) or pack a picnic and join us for an afternoon of fun for all ages!

Commander’s Mansion’s Annual Wedding Showcase Expands to Other Events

This year, the Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion will again host the Annual Wedding Showcase, but this year the event has been expanded to include other events hosted by the historic home. The Showcase will take place on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5 from 1-4 p.m. each day. Different vendors will be featured each day. Tammy McKenna, facilities manager at the Commander’s Mansion, said the home has not only been a favorite venue for weddings but for all kinds of events, so the expansion of the showcase was a natural one. It can accommodate up to 200 guests.

Holiday Open House Coming to Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion

Head to the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown to see Santa, dancers, holiday mocktails and more. 

The historic home located at 440 Talcott Ave. in Watertown, next to the Arsenal on the Charles, will host the Annual Holiday Open House on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is a FREE event and all are welcomed! Take a self-guided tour of the mansion, which has been decorated by local volunteers, the Department of Public Works and Be Our Guest. Enjoy sweet treats thanks to our friends from Dunkin’ Donuts/Riverside Management, Russo’s, Catering with Distinction, Boston Catering & Events, and Sensational Foods

11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Ms. Clause story time and activities

5 p.m. – La Bonne Maison, festive cocktail and hors d’oeuvres demonstrations
