Visit Watertown Mall’s Winter Wonderland for Songs, Crafts & More

The Watertown Mall, located at 550 Arsenal Street, together with Watertown Families Together invite you to come on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. for “Winter Wonderland,” an event to celebrate the holidays and wintertime. There will be songs, stories and crafts as well as a raffle! This is a free event & all ages are welcome, although the stories are catered to younger children. This will take place in the back hallway of the mall, across from Carter’s. Come prepare and get in the holiday spirit at the Watertown Mall with your little loved ones!

Santa Visits Watertown Square for Tree Lighting Celebration

Dozens of children and their parents stood on a snow covered Watertown Square Delta Friday evening awaiting the delivery of a special package: Santa Claus. Frosty the Snowman entertained the crowd as they awaited Santa’s arrival. Saint Nick arrived in a Watertown Fire Department SUV for the ninth annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which was hosted by the Rotary Club of Watertown and Watertown Savings Bank. Santa Claus was busy Thursday night at the Commander’s Mansion Christmas Celebration. The Commander’s Mansion decked the halls for the annual Christmas Celebration on Thursday night. Lights decorated the Commander’s Mansion inside and out. The line to visit Santa Claus stretched out the door, through the upstairs hallway and into two more rooms. Visitors could also spend time with Mrs. Claus. Dancers from Ballroom in Boston performed for the attendees of the Commander’s Mansion.

Two Watertown Holiday Events to Check Out This Week

Santa Claus waved from the middle of his adoring fans at the Watertown Tree Lighting Celebration. The Holiday Spirit will be in full swing this week in Watertown with a couple of events for people to enjoy. Thursday night, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 pm. the Commander’s Mansion, located at 440 Talcott Ave. will host a Christmas Celebration.

Watertown Commander’s Mansion Hosting Christmas Celebration

Watertown’s Commander’s Mansion will host a Christmas Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

The mansion, located at 440 Talcott Ave. (next to the Arsenal on the Charles) will welcome Santa Claus at 5:30 p.m., and there will be music and entertainment, plus photos with Santa from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Mrs. Claus will be reading stories, and attendees can grab some hot cocoa and cookies at Rudolph’s Cafe. The event is sponsored by Ballroom in Boston, Kataram Studios, the Watertown Police Department and Watertown Savings Bank.

See When Watertown’s Tree Lighting Ceremony Will Take Place

The Watertown Tree Lighting Ceremony returns to Watertown Square in December. The Rotary Club of Watertown are pleased to announce that the ninth annual Tree Lighting event will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 in Watertown Square. A reception will follow at the Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) main office in Watertown Square. Santa Claus will arrive to the Square by fire truck at 5:15 p.m.; the tree lights come on at 5:30 p.m.; and the reception to follow immediately after at WSB, where attendees will enjoy refreshments, holiday music, and visit with Santa Claus.

Giving Tree Full of Children’s Gift Wishes Up at the Watertown Mall

The Watertown mall Giving Tree is up and filled with wishes from children who are members at the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. Brighten the holidays for these children by taking an ornament from the tree and purchasing their wish. The Watertown Mall’s giving tree is adorned with ornaments for this Holiday season and will benefit the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. The Giving Tree is located in the common area of the mall, near Miss Maria’s School of Dance. All are invited to simply take an ornament off the tree, buy the gift listed on the tag, and return it to mall staff unwrapped (Management Team, Maintenance Staff, Security Officers).
