Watertown Dance Studio, Personal Trainer Hosting Virtual Classes in Response to Coronavirus

Two local businesses announced they will be holding video classes during the Coronavirus outbreak. The owners of Ballroom in Boston and Get Lively sent out the following announcement:

Due to the National Emergency and the need to temporarily cancel most fitness and dance classes, Ballroom in Boston and Get Lively will be doing their best to keep you active and feeling lively during this challenging time. Over the next two weeks, they’ll be exploring various ways to offer online videos, classes, and programming to keep you moving and smiling while the studios are closed. Virtual personal training and private dance lessons are now available for booking with a variety of video call and conferencing platforms available for you to use. Ballroom in Boston will be offering free daily programming on their Facebook page, including:

● 11:30am Kids Dance Class ● 2:00pm Daily Dose of Dance (fun for all ages!) ● 6:00pm Dance Date Night

Get Lively® will also be offering a variety of free programming via the “Lively Lounge” Facebook group listed below.

Dance Classes for Kids & Adult Available Through Watertown Recreation

Watertown Recreation will team with a local dance studio to present dance classes for children and adults. The Recreation Department provided the following information:

Aladdin Kids Dance Camp

Come learn fun Dance/Broadway/Hip Hop routines to “One Jump” and “Prince Ali” from Aladdin. This course will allow students to learn beginner/intermediate age appropriate choreography, try different styles of dance, enhance presentation skills, learn the basics of being on stage, and gain self- confidence. No experience necessary. Who: Grades: 3 – 5

When: Thursdays, February 13, 2020 – May 14, 2020 (Meets once a week for 10 weeks).

Dance & Dine Brunch at Watertown Restaurant This Sunday

Branch Line restaurant will team with Ballroom in Boston for a Dance & Dine event on Sunday, Dec. 8

The event begins at 10 a.m. Organizers sent out the following information:

Get the holiday season started with a fun, beginner-friendly salsa & tango dance class followed by a delicious brunch at Branch Line! No partner necessary, although the more the merrier, so bring all of your friends! To reserve your spot in the free dance class, email your name and phone number to info@ballroominboston.com.

Dance Studio Hosting Free Valentine’s Day Open House

Ballroom in Boston will host a special event for Valentine’s Day that will get you and your date dancing. The studio is located just over the Watertown line at 300 Western Ave., Floor 3, in Allston. The studio is owned by Rotary Club of Watertown member and past president Lilia Weisfeldt. The studio provided the following announcement:
