Police Arrest Man Suspected in a Series of Break Ins Around Town

After a string of break-ins in the Watertown Square area, Watertown Police caught their suspect in the act this week. Churches and a restaurant reported being broken into and having cash and valuables stolen over the prior week. Watertown Police got a break in the case when one of the places broken into caught the suspect on surveillance video, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. They recognized the man on the video as Wilbert Stith, a 51-year-old homeless man, who has been seen in the area recently. On Sept.

Watertown Police Bust Massage Employee on Prostitution Charges

Police arrested an employee of a massage business in Watertown on prostitution charges. 

Watertown Police conducted a sting on Orange Tree Body Works, 220 Waverley Ave., on Sept. 18. They had received several complaints and tips from concerned citizens about the activity at the business. Police arrested one employee after the sting, Bi Ou, on a charge of sexual conduct for a fee. “The Watertown Police Department would like to thank the public for their help in keeping our community safe,” the police said in the announcement of the arrest.

Police Log: Man Exposes Himself to Woman, Shoplifters Stopped

Aug. 31, 10:14 a.m.: An unwanted person was reported at the Mount Auburn Club. When police arrived they did a warrant check and found the 33-year-old Cambridge man had three warrants from Edgartown District Court – two for open and gross lewdness and one for indecent exposure. Sept.

Police Log: Man Assaults Police Officers, String of Bicycle Thefts

Aug. 20, 7:46 p.m.: Security at the Stop & Shop on Watertown Street spotted a man they recognized as a past shoplifter. They saw him take some packages of razors and beauty products from the health and beauty area of the store worth a total of $337.87. The 48-year-old homeless man was arrested on charges of larceny over $250.

Arrests
Aug. 12, 10:34 p.m.: Officers were on Patten Street looking for a suspect in a different investigation when they stopped a black truck. They found the driver had a revoked license. They also discovered that the female passenger had a warrant for her arrest. The driver, a 33-year-old man from Taunton, was arrested on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
