Uber Driver Arrested After Yelling at, Refusing to Cooperate with Police

Two Uber customers had a less than satisfactory ride when their driver was arrested after he yelled at police and refused to cooperate when he was pulled over, last week. On Nov. 11, at 1:15 a.m., an officer patrolling on in Watertown Square ran a routine registration check on a vehicle heading westbound on Main Street. Records showed that the owner of the vehicle, Glenn Gaines, had a suspended license, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. “When the officer got to the car there were three people in the car, and the driver was an Uber driver,” O’Connor said.

Police Log: Man Busted for 4th OUI, New York Arsonist Arrested

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
Oct. 24, 2:30 p.m.: Police received information that a man from Watertown was wanted on a warrant out of New York City for arson related charges. Watertown Police confirmed that New York officials wanted to extradite the man for those charges. The 37-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a fugitive from justice charges and was transferred to New York.
