Police Log: Internship Seeker Scammed, Gym Part of String of Robberies

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
June 6, 9:56 a.m.: An officer went to investigate a minor accident at Summer and Church streets and when he spoke to the drivers one of them exhibited signs of intoxication, including being unsteady on his feet, glassy and bloodshot eye. He also slurred his words and had an odor of alcohol on his breath. He performed three field sobriety tests and failed them all. The 57-year-old Watertown man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and was cited for failure to use care while driving.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
May 29, 1:11 p.m.: A man was spotted taking numerous items, including an air conditioner, from Home Depot and fled toward Arsenal Park. The man was seen taking an A/C unit, TV cables, a wall mount and some kitchen faucets, worth a combined $920. Store security gave police a description of the suspect and offices found a man matching the description. In the parking lot, police found a vehicle with the items inside and determined the vehicle was owned by the suspect.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
May 24, 12:47 p.m.: Police received a report of a man sleeping in the doorway of CVS on Main Street. Officers checked on his wellbeing and then looked at his record and found he had an outstanding warrant. When the man was brought to the police station to be booked, he became very uncooperative, and attempted to hit and kick officers. During the struggle he spit in one of the officer’s faces.

Arrests
May 15, 12 midnight: Police were called to the Residence Inn for a report of a disturbance in a guest room. When officers spoke with a man and woman who had gotten into an argument they discovered the woman had an outstanding warrant. The 29-year-old Quincy woman was arrested on a warrant out of Boston District Court for larceny over $250. May 15, 5 p.m.: An officer patrolling in Coolidge Square spotted a man he knew to be wanted on a warrant. The 57-year-old Watertown man was stopped and arrested on the warrant from Concord District Court for OUI related charges.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
May 10, 9:27 a.m.: An officer spotted a man known to have a suspended license driving in East Watertown. He was pulled over on Templeton Parkway and officers also found he had an active warrant out of Brighton District Court. The 30-year-old Somerville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license and the warrant charge. May 10, 11:45 a.m.: An accident was reported at the Arsenal Mall and when police arrived they saw a Toyota 4Runner leaving the area.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
May 4, 2:51 p.m.: An officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding at Irving Street and Riverside Street. When he asked for the man’s license, the officer discovered the man was driving without a license. The 27-year-old Sharon man was arrested for driving without a license and was cited for speeding. May 6, 7:11 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Watertown Street spotted a man known to be wanted on an arrest warrant.

Police Log: Business Owner Hit by Unhappy Customer, Multiple OUI Arrests

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
April 10, 12:36 p.m.: An officer monitoring traffic on Waltham Street spotted a speeding vehicle. When the vehicle was pulled over the driver did not have his license on him. Police discovered his license was revoked for being a habitual traffic rules violator. They also found he had an OUI conviction.

Police Log: Man Scammed by Fake IRS Agent, Three Tires Slashed

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
April 3, 7 p.m.: Police went to Warren Street to serve a summons and while they were there, they discovered the man was also wanted on a warrant. Police arrested the 49-year-old Newton man on the default warrant from Waltham District Court for traffic offenses. April 7, 5 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Bridge Street spotted a grey Toyota Camry without an inspection sticker. The vehicle was stopped and the officer learned the driver did not have a license.
