Police Log: Man Hits Home With Car Repeatedly, Misunderstanding Over Uber

Feb. 17, 4:40 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle on Pleasant Street for crossing over marked lanes, and having improper inspection. When police spoke to the woman they discovered she had an arrest warrant in her name. The 44-year-old Newton woman was arrested on the warrant from Brookline District Court for traffic offenses.

Police Log: Man Caught Speeding in Stolen Car, Fire Burns Palette

Jan. 23, 5:30 p.m.: Home Depot security saw a man get onto a motorized shopping cart and took items off the shelf and put them in the basket. The man then went to the back of the store and put the items, which included a drill, under his jacket. The man drove the cart past the registers and was stopped.

Police Log: Man Arrested on 2nd OUI, Teen Given Counterfeit Bills for Sneakers

Jan. 16, 1 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Galen Street spotted a vehicle in the parking lot of Vows Bridal Outlet with its engine running and with heavy damage to the front. When the officer approached, he saw a tire had been blown out and the vehicle was up on a jack. The driver was inside the car and had fallen asleep behind the wheel.

Police Log: Gas Station Hit by Armed Robber, Man Asleep in Car Busted for OUI

Jan., 2 5:40 a.m.: A man was spotted sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven in Coolidge Square. Police officers found a black Nissan SUV with its engine running in the parking lot and a man reclined in the driver’s seat who appeared to be asleep. Officers awoke the man and detected signs of intoxication when they spoke with him. The man admitted to drinking alcohol before driving .
