Police Log: Dog Scares Off Intruder, Lightning Suspected of Starting Small Fire

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrest

July 20, 6:34 a.m.: The Probation Department alerted Watertown Police that a resident was wanted on a warrant for probation violation. Officers went to Nichols Avenue and placed the 40-year-old man under arrest on the probation warrant out of Waltham District Court. 

Incidents

July 20, 2:43 p.m.: Someone living in a home on Longfellow Road that was under construction heard someone walk inside and say “hello?” Then the person saw the family dog and said. “That’s a big dog,” and left.

Watertown Man Arrested in N.H. Child Pornography Investigation

A Watertown man faces charges of possession of a “Child Sexual Abuse Image” after being arrested by police in New Hampshire. Juan Correa, 31, of Ladd Street in Watertown, was arrested by Nashua Police on July 15 on a charge of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Image, police announced. He was released on personal recognizance bail, and he will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on Aug. 20. The arrest was one of eight made in an investigation by the Nashua Police Department and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force focusing on child exploitation during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Nashua Police.

Police Log: Man Arrested for OUI Suspected of Dealing Drugs, Food Delivery Taken

May 26, 2:38 a.m.: An officer encountered a Jeep sitting in the intersection of Arsenal and School streets with the motor running and brake lights on. The driver had his head back and his eyes closed, and appeared to be sleeping. Officers knocked on the window for several minutes and eventually woke him. When the driver awoke, he was unaware of his surroundings or where he was.
