Police Log: Untraceable Pistol Recovered; Suspect Sought for Spray Painting Spree

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

May 30, 3:41 p.m.: Police received a complaint about a solicitor in the area of Holt Street and Bridgham Avenue. The man was going door to door trying to sell Mass Pro Steel Coating, but he had not followed proper protocols to check in with the City Clerk’s Office or the Police. When officers spoke with him they found that there was a warrant for his arrest from Waltham District Court for traffic offenses. Geno Harrison, 20, of Waltham, was arrested on the warrant.

May 25, 1:14 p.m.: Security at the Watertown Mall called Police to help with a man they were trying to issue a trespass letter. He left the Mall, and Police located him across Arsenal Street at the Nike Store. When officers were speaking to him they discovered he had four warrants for his arrest from Waltham, Brookline, and Somerville district courts, all for shoplifting-related charges. Devin Newbury, 31, a homeless man from Boston, was arrested on the warrants and was trespassed.

Police Log: Man Pulled Knife on Co-Worker, Woman Busted Twice for Same Crime

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

May 17, 4:39 p.m.: At about 2:45 a.m., an officer patrolling near Casey Park spotted a door propped open at the office building in the former Parker School. The officer waited for more officers to arrive, and they checked the building but could not locate anyone. At 6:43 a.m., a 911 call came from the building, but the caller was a bit incoherent and said “all was OK,” and then hung up. Police went to the building, but once again found no one inside.

Police Log: Man Backed Car Into Woman, Driver Hits Parked Construction Vehicle

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests

May 5, 9:30 p.m.: A Watertown man who has a harassment prevention order against a neighbor called police to report that the neighbor violated the terms of the order. The neighbor had gone into the basement and damaged some of his property, and was caught on video. Also, the neighbor blocked the man’s car in the driveway. Police responded and determined the neighbor had violated the harassment prevention order.

Police Log: Four Men Arrested on Gun Charge, Former Landlord Clashes with Former Tenant

April 25, 1:51 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Warren Street spotted a vehicle stopped diagonally across a lane. The officer looked inside the 2008 Honda Accord and saw a woman asleep behind the wheel with the engine running. Police woke her and officers detected a strong odor of alcohol from her breath. A half-full bottle of tequila was found in the center arm rest of the rear passenger seat.

Police Log: Man Busted Stealing Champagne at Target, $1,200 Charged on Stolen Credit Cards

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrest

April 24, 5:53 p.m.: Target security reported a shoplifting where a man was seen taking three bottles of champagne. He took the bottles, worth a total of $230.99, and put them in his backpack, and left without paying. Police located him leaving the rear exit of the mall. When they checked his record officers found he had a warrant from Boston District Court for larceny over $1,200.
