Argument Leads to Co-Worker Being Stabbed at Watertown Tire Store

An argument between co-workers at a Watertown tire store ended in a fight in which one was stabbed by a tire tool. A staff member at Doctors Express urgent care alerted Watertown Police that a man who had suffered a stab wound came in for treatment on Sept. 13 at 2:38 p.m.

“The staff explained that a patient came in with a minor stab wound,” said O’Connor, who added that they man had left before police arrived, but the business got his name and his place of employment — Town Fair Tires. The store is located west of Doctors Express on Arsenal Street. When police spoke with the man, he said that he had gotten into an argument with a co-worker while working in one of the bays at Town Fair Tire, and the incident turned physical.

Lowell Woman Busted in CVS Parking Lot With Multiple Crack Pipes

Watertown Police arrested a Lowell woman who was caught with crack pipes in her car. While patrolling the municipal lot behind CVS on Aug. 4, at 6:05 p.m. an officer noticed a car sitting alone in the back of the parking lot, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. “As the police car drove by the operator looked at the officer looked shocked and lunged toward the center console,” O’Connor said. “The officer spoke with the woman and observed drug paraphernalia, including glass pipes with burn marks on them.”

Police Find Drugs on Driver Found Passed Out at Wheel

A Watertown man faces several charges, including drug possession, following an arrest that started when he was found passed out behind the wheel of a running vehicle. On Jan. 9, 2019, at 5:11 p.m., Watertown Police received a call about a vehicle blocking the intersection of Ralph Street and Grant Avenue. When officers arrived they saw a man passed out behind the wheel of a Ford F-250 pickup truck with the motor running and in gear, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. “It took several attempts banging on the window and yelling and he did not respond,” O’Connor said.

Woman Arrested After Attempting to Break Into Two Watertown Homes

Watertown Police arrested a woman seen breaking into one home and attempting to enter another on Dec. 23. A Gleason Street resident called police on Dec. 23, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. after she saw a woman in her back yard approaching the backdoor of her home, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. The resident confronted the woman and told her to leave before reporting the incident to Police.

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. Arrests
May 9, 1:18 a.m.: A man flagged down a police officer patrolling on Main Street near Town Hall. He did not have a particular problem, he just wanted to speak with the officer. While talking with the man, the officer discovered the man had a warrant for his arrest. The 35-year-old Lakeville man was arrested on the warrant from Hingham District Court for violating the terms of probation.

Man Arrested for Carrying Unlicensed Firearm in His Vehicle

A Watertown man faces charges of having an unregistered firearm after it was spotted in his vehicle during a traffic stop. On Dec. 18 at 1:52 a.m., an officer ran a check of a plate while driving on Mt. Auburn Street and it showed the vehicle’s inspection had expired. The vehicle was pulled over on Galen Street near Capitol Street.

Man Arrested After Pulling Knife on Police Officer During Traffic Stop

A 38-year-old Watertown man was arrested after he allegedly pulled out a knife on police who stopped to talk to him after he was found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle. 

Police came across the running vehicle on Purvis Street at Main Street on March 31 at 1:05 a.m. When police looked into the car, they saw a man, later identified as Mark A. Mackenzie, who appeared to be passed out at the wheel, said Watertown Police Lt. James O’Connor. “While checking his welfare, the officer was able to wake him up,” O’Connor said. “It took yelling and banging on the window and the man appeared to be disoriented.” The man was asked to turn off his engine, and when he attempted to do so he turned the heat off and said he had shut off the engine, O’Connor said. The officer had to open the door and turn the car off.
