Armenian Churches Hosting Joint Musical Service for Maundy Thursday

The Armenian Memorial Church and First Armenian Church invite the public to join the Joint Maundy Thursday Communion Service featuring a special musical program. The service will be held Thursday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Armenian Memorial Church, 32 Bigelow Ave. in Watertown. The service features selections from “We Remember Calvary” by Joel Raney. “The program is a hauntingly beautiful musical program that combines traditional and contemporary hymns, scripture, and narration to paint an emotionally moving picture of Christ’s last days and His journey to the cross.

Armenian Memorial Church Annual Fair Features Food, Silent Auction

The Armenian Memorial Church, 32 Bigelow Ave., Watertown, will host the 2018 Annual Fair on May 18 and 19. The Fair will take place Friday, May 18, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Meals will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The event is rain or shine. Meals will be dine-in or take-out, and include beef, chicken, or losh kebab with sauce, rice pilaf, eetch, salad, bread & drinks

Armenian Delicacies will also be available: paklava, kadayif, cheoreg, mante, & many other baked specialties. Thee will be a silent auction.

Watertown Armenian Church Hosting Reunion of Church Organists

A concert for lovers of organ music will be held at Watertown’s Armenian Memorial Church, featuring five organists who have played at the church. The church sent out the following information:

The Armenian Memorial Church, 32 Bigelow Avenue, Watertown, is pleased to present the Organists Homecoming Concert to be held on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m.

This concert is free and open to the public; donations will be greatly appreciated for the church’s music ministry. The program will feature performances by five talented musicians who have served as organists at the church over the past 30 years: Dennis Chan, Terry Halco, Michael Kraft, Rowland Moseley, Wayne Ward. A reception will follow the concert.
