BELMONT — Being on the other end of a shutout last year, the Watertown High School football team had their sights set on Thanksgiving 2024. They accomplished their mission Thursday morning, beating Belmont 23-0 at Harris Field.

The start of construction of a major new project on Main Street, Elysian Watertown Square, was celebrated by the developers and City officials at a ceremony held recently.
Public Review Period for Board of Assessors Conducting Property Revaluation is Dec. 2-6
The following announcement was sent out by the City of Watertown Board of Assessors:
Following state statutes and Department of Revenue (DOR) regulations, the Board of Assessors is completing the FY2025 Quinquennial Revaluation of all real and personal property in Watertown. Revaluation is a year-long process when the DOR examines in detail all assessing methodologies used by the city, as well as the values derived through the mass appraisal system.

Two historic paintings returned to the lobby of City Hall looking better than they have for generations after undergoing a makeover to remove dirt and grime as well as repairing damages.

At the Mosesian, there’s an intriguing theater production, taking us back to the days of radio theater, with old and new audio dramas. Last, but not least, there’s a techno DJ dance at Conley’s on Friday night. I had just been thinking that Watertown needed some more action in the later hours of the night. Get your rave outfit out and hit the dance floor after a long week of work.
