Watertown Raiders Ready to Renew Thanksgiving Football Rivalry in Belmont

The Watertown Raiders football team will face a very familiar foe on Thanksgiving, but in a place that no member of the current squad has played: Harris Field in Belmont.

The start of construction of a major new project on Main Street, Elysian Watertown Square, was celebrated by the developers and City officials at a ceremony held recently.

Public Review Period for Board of Assessors Conducting Property Revaluation is Dec. 2-6

The following announcement was sent out by the City of Watertown Board of Assessors:

Following state statutes and Department of Revenue (DOR) regulations, the Board of Assessors is completing the FY2025 Quinquennial Revaluation of all real and personal property in Watertown. Revaluation is a year-long process when the DOR examines in detail all assessing methodologies used by the city, as well as the values derived through the mass appraisal system.

Two historic paintings returned to the lobby of City Hall looking better than they have for generations after undergoing a makeover to remove dirt and grime as well as repairing damages.

Watertown Staff at MAB Community Services Receive $5,000 Maxo Joseph Excellence in Direct Care Awards

Romil Sanon and Bennett Anyanwu, who work at two different MAB community-based residences in Watertown,each received the 2024 Max Joseph Award.

The following announcement was provided by MAB Community Services:

MAB Community Services, a leading social service agency supporting nearly 2,000 people with visual impairment, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and acquired brain injuries across Massachusetts, has announced the 11 honorees of the 2024 Maxo Joseph Excellence in Direct Care Awards, who received $2,000, $5,000, or $10,000 awards. Romil Sanon and Bennett Anyanwu, who work at two different MAB community-based residences in Watertown, each received a$5,000 award. Two anonymous donors recently contributed a total of $110,000 to support the continuation of this unique awards program.
