A Pair of Watertown Field Hockey Players Sign Letters to Play at Division I Colleges

For many years, well before they became members of the Watertown High School field hockey team, Maggie Driscoll and Lizzie Loftus grew up playing the game with one another. Last Friday, they continued their journey together by signing letters of intent to play in college. While both will be at NCAA Div. I programs, Loftus is headed to Brown, and Driscoll will play at Boston University.

Watertown Field Hockey Beats Triton to Grab Spot in Final Four

The top-seeded Raiders defeated ninth seed Triton 5-0 at Victory Field and received the trophy for making the Final Four of the MIAA Div. 3 State Tournament. Watertown Girls Soccer Tourney Run Ends in Round of 16

DEDHAM — The run of success in the MIAA Div. 3 Girls Soccer Tournament came to an end for Watertown High School Wednesday night when the Raiders falling 2-0 to 10th seeded Dedham. Watertown Field Hockey Moves onto Round of 8 After 7-0 Win

Watertown Girls Soccer Scores Second Tourney at Weston

Watertown High School’s girls soccer team defeated Weston on Sunday in the MIAA Div. 3 Tournament to move on to the Round of 16. The Raiders beat seventh seeded Weston 2-1 in the Round of 32 game. The last time Watertown’s girls soccer team advance was in 2011, when a tournament run ended in the North Section Semis (equivalent to the Round of 16) against St. Mary’s.

The Raiders defeated Boston Latin Academy 3-0 in the Preliminary Round of the MIAA Div. 3 Soccer Tournament.

Watertown Sending Two Teams Into State Soccer Tournaments

Watertown’s girls soccer team return to the State Tournament for the first time since the current seniors were in elementary school, and the Raiders’ boys squad return to the State Tournament, and travel to play their first match. Girls Soccer

The Raiders finished 4-13-1 and got the 26th seed in the MIAA Div. 3 Tourney. The team will welcome 39th seed Boston Latin Academy (10-4-5) to Victory Field for the Preliminary Round game on Nov. 4 at 4 p.m.

The MIAA’s online tournament archives go back to 2006, and in that time Watertown has never hosted a girls soccer Tournament game.
