Weather Forecast: Warm Temps and Scattered Showers This Week

Eastern Massachusetts wraps up the week with classic mid-May warmth, but a more unsettled weather pattern gradually takes hold heading into the weekend. A pair of weak disturbances will bring several rounds of scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm between Friday evening and Saturday night. While no day looks like a total washout, outdoor plans may need to stay flexible—especially during the late afternoon and evening hours. A cold front moves through on Sunday, clearing out the humidity and ushering in a noticeably cooler and drier air mass. Early next week will feel refreshingly springlike, with crisp mornings, comfortable afternoons, and a welcome drop in dew points.
