OBIT: Eugene “Gen” Donovan, 68, Watertown Youth Hockey Coach

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sept. 4, 2015 in the Church of Saint Luke, Belmont at 10:30 a.m. for Eugene T. “Gen” Donovan. Mr. Donovan, a son of Margaret C. (Hook) and the late Eugene W. Donovan,, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Aug. 31, 2015 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a 19 year battle with prostate cancer, he was 68. Gene was a resident of Watertown for the past 39 years.

Nancy T. (DiPizzol) Mancini died in Watertown, August 24, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was retired processor for ADP, Co. Nancy is the beloved wife of John L. Mancini. Devoted mother of Nicolas J. Mancini and his wife Kelly of Florida and David P. Mancini and his wife Lauren of Wilmington. Loving grandmother of Kayla Mancini.

OBIT: E. Joyce Munger, Who Dedicated 60 Years to Serving Watertown

After a long, rewarding and fun life E. Joyce (Braceland) Munger, of Watertown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 9, 2015. Joyce was respected by many in the community who served with her on an extensive list of committees and boards during her 60 years of service to the town. Last year she ended 35 years of service on the Watertown Housing Authority’s Board of Commissioners, and the senior apartment complex on Warren Street  was renamed in her honor. She planned numerous lively community events the celebrating Watertown’s rich history and life, in addition to countless parties for her friends and family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 6, 2015 at 9 a.m. in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown for William J. McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy, a son of the late William J. and Margaret (Kocher) McCarthy. A resident of South Boston prior to moving to Watertown and Newton 54 years ago. A retired Master Chief Petty Officer, USN and a supervisor with the Bureau of Special Investigations, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. William passed away in the Evans Park at Newton Corner on Tuesday June 30, 2015 after a brief illness.

OBIT: Phillip Pane, Served in Watertown Government for 65 Years

Phillip Pane of Watertown, who dedicated 65 years to the town government and took part in many community groups, died on June 28. Pane is the beloved husband of the late Edythe (Fairbanks) Pane. Devoted father of Philip A. Pane and wife Janet of Harwich, James A. Pane and wife Linda of Stoughton and Ann Marie Cook and husband Richard of Belmont. Also survived by his 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Brother of Edith Noyes of Walpole and the late Rose Natale, Aurora and Anthony Pane.

OBIT: Joseph Tardif, 80, Marine, Former Youth Hockey Coach

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 am in the Church of St. Jude, Waltham for Joseph A. Tardif. Mr. Tardif, a son of the late Philomon P. and Bibiane C. (LeClair) Tardif, died in the Mount Auburn Hospital on Sunday May 31, 2015 after a brief illness. He was 80. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.

OBIT: Gerardo Magnarelli, 89, Immigrated from Italy, Worked as Bricklayer

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown on Friday May 22, 2015 at 9 a.m. for Gerardo Magnarelli. Mr. Magnarelli passed away in his home surrounded by family on Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2015 after a period of declining health, he was 89. A son of the late Dominco and Donata (Quintiliani) Magnarelli, born in San Donato, ValC, Italy. He came into a world that had just ended the First World War. He became a man with scruples and morals even with the absence of a guiding father and a loving mother.
