A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 7, 2017 at 9 am for Kevin D. Fraser, Sr. in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown. Mr. Fraser passed away on Tuesday, January 3 in Cambridge after a long illness. He was 65 years old. Born in Waltham to the late Murdock W. and Thelma (Fairbanks) Fraser. Kevin attended Watertown schools and graduated from Watertown High School, class of 1970.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of St. Patrick, Watertown on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 9 a.m. for Peter Phillip D’Amico. Peter was a son of the late Franceso and Teresa (Zaccagnini) D’Amico. He passed away Friday morning in South Shore Hospital after a period of declining health. Peter was 85.
Frances Grace Helsmoortel of Watertown, MA, formerly of Allston passed from this life surrounded by her family and was welcomed into her new eternal home on December 20, 2016 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Edison and Audrey Florence (Russell) Doyle. Frances had a zeal for life, loved people with fervor and served God with humility. Her kindness and gentleness were known to all, in keeping with her devotion to Jesus Christ and God’s written word. She took the Great Commission seriously and brought many people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, Watertown for Dorothy E. (Jenkins) Paulino. Mrs. Paulino, a daughter of the late Silas & Elizabeth (Noel) Jenkins, passed away in her home on Monday morning, after a long period of declining health. She was 93. Dorothy was born and grew up in Newfoundland, Canada. She served in the Canadian Army.
Catherine Kerr did not stand still when she received a diagnosis of cancer, instead, she got very involved in her treatment – at times going against doctors’ recommendations. As an academic she went in a new direction of study, focusing on meditation and traditional Eastern healing, which eventually lead her to a meeting with the Dalai Lama. In 1995, the Watertown resident received the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, a type of cancer that attacks the plasma cells in people’s bone marrow. Doctors estimated she had 5 years to live, but Kerr lived more than two decades. She passed away in November at the age of 52.
At the time, multiple myeloma was not a well-understood disease.
Thomas Robinson, formerly of Watertown and Belmont, died in Reading on Dec. 6, 2016, at the age of 108. Robinson taught history and social studies at Watertown High School for 42 years. He was a co-founder of the Watertown Evening School and served as principal. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St.
A Funeral Mass for Stephen C. Garabedian will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at St. Luke’s Church, Belmont. Mr. Garabedian passed away in the Mount Auburn Hospital early morning on December 7, 2016. He was 73. A lifelong resident of Watertown.
Sandy (Vivian) Stark of Watertown passed away Dec. 4, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of Joe Stark. Loving mother of Harmonie Farrow & her husband Matt and Jeremy Stark. Dear sister of Ann Vivian her husband David Hart, Jeannie Garubba & her husband Tom, and the late Ralph C. Vivian, III.
