Mosesian Center Exhibit Features Artwork from Teachers & Students

Sara Emara’s “It’s Pumpkin Time” is on display at the Mosesian Center for the Arts. The Mosesian Center for the Arts announced its latest exhibition: From the Studios: Artwork from Our Teaching Artists and Students. The Mosesian Center for the Arts is excited to present an exhibition that showcases the work of our teaching artists and students who have taken adult visual arts classes in the last few sessions as well as young artists who are attending our 2024 Summer Stages & Studios program. “Floating in red” by Nancy Goodman is part of the latest exhibition at the Mosesian Center for the Arts. We are very fortunate to have such a talented group of teaching artists working in our classrooms and dedicated and enthusiastic students.

Small Saves Faces the Music in This Week’s Cartoon

James DeMarco grew up in Watertown and became a goaltender at age 5. It’s his life’s passion to stand between the pipes and keep the puck out of the net. Combining this with the love of cartooning Small Saves emerged in 1991 and took on a life of his own. “To play goal – then come home and draw Small Saves — is my ideal definition of a good day.”

Eric Mintel Quartet to Perform Tribute to Dave Brubeck at MCA

Jazz enthusiasts are in for a treat as the acclaimed Eric Mintel Quartet takes the stage at the Mosesian Center for the Arts on Thursday, July 11 at 7:30 PM. The evening promises a rich blend of the timeless music of Dave Brubeck, original compositions by Eric Mintel, and much more. Eric Mintel, a celebrated pianist and composer, has a storied career spanning over 30 years. His impressive résumé includes performances by invitation at the White House, over ten appearances at the Kennedy Center, and a special concert at the United Nations. His quartet’s dynamic sound and captivating performances have made them a favorite among jazz fans worldwide.

Multi Award-Winning Musican Mwalim Will Perform at Watertown Library

Save the Date for the 2024 Watertown Arts Market

The Watertown Arts Market will return to Filippello Park in 2024. The City of Watertown provided the following information:

Save the date: the Watertown Arts Market 2024, an outdoor celebration of Watertown Artists and Cultural Organizations, will be on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from noon-5pm at Filipello Park at 191 Grove Street. Young Watertown Actress Lands Role in American Repertory Theater’s “Gatsby”

A young Watertown actress made her stage debut in a play headed to Broadway and on one of the area’s most well known stages. Five-year-old Kendall Cote landed a part in the play “Gatsby,” which is in the midst of a 10 week run at the American Repertory Theater in Harvard Square. In her role as Pammy, the daughter of Daisy Buchanan, she goes into the theater five times a week. “We go in, play for a little bit.
