Field Hockey Adds 3 to Streak
One streak ended this week, but the big one – the unbeaten streak – remains in tact for the Watertown High School field hockey team.
The Raiders won three games this week. On Tuesday, the Raiders went to Stoneham and won 6-0, with junior Kourtney Kennedy getting a hat trick and senior Grace Duguay adding two more.
Kennedy added four more goals in Watertown’s 7-1 win over Lincoln-Sudbury on Thursday at Victory Field. The score by L-S was the first against Watertown since the state semifinal in 2013 – a run of 30 games.
Friday, Watertown shut out Wilmington 3-0 at Victory Field, with Mikayla Paone, Michaela Antonellis and Aurora Fidler each scoring. The Raiders are now 7-0, and the unbeaten streak stands at 145 games.
