Voters elected two newcomers and two incumbents in the race for Watertown Town Councilor At-Large on Tuesday.
First-time candidates Anthony Donato and Caroline Bays got the most votes, followed by incumbents Tony Palomba and Michael Dattoli in the six-way race for the four Councilor At-Large spots.
Donato received 3,053 votes, or 23.32 percent of the vote.
With 2,657 votes (20.30 percent), Bays got the second most votes, just 13 votes ahead of Palomba, who had 2,644 votes (20.20 percent).
Dattoli received 2,337 and finished fourth. He got 17.85 percent of the vote.
Challenger David Stokes received 1,264, 9.66 percent. He was ahead of another first-time council candidate, Michelle Cokonougher, who received 1,095 votes (8.36 percent)
The voter turnout for the Town Election was 20.23 percent.
The other members of the Town Council ran unopposed: Town Council President Mark Sideris, District A Councilor Angeline Kounelis, District B Town Councilor Lisa Feltner, District C Councilor Vincent Piccirilli and District D Town Councilor Ken Woodland.

That turnout is abysmal. Well, no one better complain when this lot decides to declare Watertown a sanctuary city and give away free housing….along with approving wonderful new taxes that drive businesses away.
