The latest addition to Pleasant Street features any kind of bathroom and kitchen fixture you can imagine, with opportunities to try some of them out for yourself.
Designer Bath opened its second showroom in Watertown, and hosted a grand opening on Oct. 21. The showroom features products from around the United States and across the globe, said President Jason Sevinor.
The showroom is split into different areas, with kitchen sinks in one area, shower heads in another and bathroom sinks and toilets in their own locales. Some of the sinks and the showers are hooked up so you can see how they would work in your home.
The styles fit a traditional New England home, as well as something for people looking for more modern look.

Designer Bath has even set up an “experience room” which has all the features of a home spa, with a spa tub with streams (not jets), a toilet with heated seat and bidet, a shower which includes steam aroma therapy jets, and a towel warmer.
Not all the items are for those looking for luxury goods, Sevinor said.
“One thing about the showroom is we have a lot of price points,” he said. “And we always say we won’t sell it or display it if we won’t put in our home.”
Browsing the Watertown showroom you will see American products, as well as items from France, the U.K., South American and many more places. Customers sometimes return from trips overseas and ask if they can get the same items for their home, and Designer Bath does its best to track them down, Sevinor said.
Designer Bath was founded in 1925 by Sevinor’s grandfather in Salem, and they opened a showroom in Beverly. Sevinor is the third generation of his family to run the business and his father Ralph was on hand for the grand opening, along with his mother Debra and sister Mindy, who is the company’s showroom brand manager.
The company had been looking to expand to Designer Bath closer to the Hub.
“When we asked clients what we ca to do better serve them, for years they consistently said a closer location to Boston,” Sevinor said. “Watertown popped up and the more we looked at it the more we got excited.”

The bath and kitchen store moved into a 7,000-sq.-ft. former warehouse space on Pleasant Street, which most recently had been used by a home decor store. Sevinor said the experience in town has been very positive.
“One of the best things is the community. People have been so welcoming,” Sevinor said.
Designer Bath does not do tiling, but Sevinor has formed a relationship with Watertown’s Tile Showcase.
“They are helpful. They send clients over to us, and we send ours to Tile Showcase,” Sevinor said.
