The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrests
June 2, 11:44 a.m.: Police were called to a civil matter on Waverley Avenue and found that a woman had a warrant out for her. The 34-year-old Winchester woman was arrested on the warrant from Cambridge District Court for failure to pay a fine.
June 3, 8:55 p.m.: Security at Target watched a woman who had been in the store for two hours, and then was seen near the doors looking around. She was spotted putting items under her shirt. She was stopped and the 26-year-old Waltham woman was arrested on a charge of larceny over $250.
June 4, 5:53 p.m.: Police were dispatched to Arsenal Street for an accident involving a scooter. Officers talked to the scooter driver and found hat he was acting strangely. After investigating they determined the man was under the influence of drugs, and found a pill believed to be Suboxone. The 51-year-old Waltham man was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs – a third offense, driving with a revoked license and possession of a Class B drug.
Incidents
June 3, 2:09 p.m.: A car parked in a driveway on Franklin Street was broken into and lose change, two winning lottery tickets, a flashlight and a utility knife were taken. The vehicle had been left unlocked.
June 3, 5:11 p.m.: A purse was stolen while a woman was shopping at Home Depot. The owner believes someone took it from her trunk. The purse contained cash, credit cards and IDs.
June 4, 8:02 a.m.: A man parked his work van in front of his home on School Street and the hinge of the rear door was broken and floor sanding equipment was stolen.
June 5, 12:16 p.m.: A 64-year-old man having a smoke outside Mt. Auburn Grill when an acquaintance joined him. They got in an argument and the man said the acquaintance, who is 33, punched him in the face and cut his lip open. The younger man told police that the older man hit him first. Police are investigating.
June 6, 5:07 p.m.: Target discovered an employee was voiding out sales and taking cash from the register. The employee allegedly took $586.64. The 22-year-old Waltham woman was summonsed to Waltham District Court for larceny over $250.
June 6, 7:20 p.m.: A shoplifter was stopped at Target after security saw her put items in a backpack and try to leave the store. The 30-year-old Dorchester woman took $321.79 in items and was summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting. A second woman was stopped after security believed she had taken items, too. Police found items from Old Navy in her bag worth $131.04 and she had no receipt. The 29-year-old Mattapan woman was summonsed to Waltham District Court for receiving stolen property.
June 7, 9 a.m.: A wooden mailbox on Edward Road was split in half and knocked over.
