The following announcement was provided by the Mosesian Center for the Arts:
The Dororthy and Charles Mosesian Center for the Arts (MCA) is searching for a new Executive Director. Since September 2024, former Executive Director, Roberta Miller, has been serving in an interim capacity pro bono. The MCA, like most community arts organizations, is still recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Roberta’s return in a pro bono capacity has been essential to the re-stabilization of the organization.
Over its 20-year history, the MCA has inspired artists, students, and audiences to create, appreciate, participate in, and grow through the arts. The MCA is the home to the Actors’ Shakespeare Project, open mic nights, improv classes for adults and children, art classes for all ages, a robust visual arts gallery program, and the Watertown Children’s Theater.
The MCA is working with pro bono consultant Susan Mead and a subcommittee of the Board of Directors, community members, and staff to review resumes and interview candidates. Interested candidates should send resume and cover letter to shaunnaharrington@mosesianarts.org by March 25, 2025. The MCA encourages candidates from all backgrounds to apply. The annual salary is $100,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
“The MCA is a multi-faceted and dynamic organization. The variety of our programming keeps things ever evolving and makes every day interesting. This is the perfect role for a skilled leader who is passionate about the arts and up for an exciting challenge, and I can’t wait to pass the torch to the next visionary leader,” said Roberta Miller, Interim Executive Director.
The Mosesian Center for the Arts is located at 321 Arsenal Street in Watertown, Massachusetts on the Arsenal on the Charles Campus. The venue is easily accessible from I-95/128, Routes 9, 16, 20, and 90 (Mass Pike), and the MBTA.
