Learn to Brew!

Learn how to make your own beer and participate in National Homebrew Day! The Birds and Bees: How We Love Them, Why We Need Them

Come join us for a colorful and informative multimedia presentation illustrating the beauty and wonder of our winged creatures, their interdependence with other living things, and how we can help to protect them from population decline. Hosted by Watertown wildlife photographer Carole Smith Berney.

Guided River Birds Walk*

Urban Foraging*

Take a walk on the wild (food) side! Join Dr. David Craft, Harvard Medical School researcher and local urban foraging expert on a walk around Watertown. Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Practices*
Monday 5/22 | noon-1 p.m.
This class will teach you a variety of simple Mindfulness and stress reduction practices that reduce stress, improve focus, and help you manage emotions. Mindfulness is having awareness of your present moment experience — noticing sensations, thoughts, emotions, and the external environment, without judgement. Mind-body practices can improve overall health and well-being, build your resilience to stress, and help you develop empathy and compassion – for self and others.
