Watertown’s boys hockey team routed Northeast Regional Friday afternoon and moved on to the semifinals of a wide open Div. 3 North Section tournament.
The Raiders led 1-0 after one period and then netted two more in the second against the No. 2 seeded team. The game at Chelmsford Forum ended 4-1, improving seventh seeded Watertown’s record to 12-3-7.
On Tuesday, the Raiders head back to the Chelmsford Forum in Billerica to take on sixth seeded Wayland (14-5-2), which defeated Lowell Catholic 5-3 in the section quarters.
Wayland is the highest remaining seed in the Div. 3 North bracket. On the other side, No. 8 Bedford faces No. 12 Weston. The semifinal winners face off on in the Section Final on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chelmsford Forum.
