(UPDATED on Dec. 9 at 9:20 a.m.)

The forecast period will bring a mix of weather conditions that will impact outdoor activities and travel.

Expect chilly temperatures and mixed precipitation, with rain and snow on Thursday, followed by clear but cold weather on Friday and Saturday. Sunday will offer a brief break with sunnier skies, but temperatures will remain low, especially at night. There will be an increased chance of rain and snow showers early next week, particularly Tuesday through Wednesday, bringing the possibility of slick conditions on roads and sidewalks. Prepare for cold evenings, with temperatures dropping into the 20s, and bundle up for any outdoor plans. Winds will make it feel colder, especially on the days with gusts.

Thursday, December 5:

Rain and snow mix during the day, with precipitation continuing into the evening. Most of the day will see a mix of rain and snow, with mostly rain expected in the afternoon and evening. No accumulation is expected. Highs around 45°F. Winds from the southeast at 10-15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph. Evening temperatures will dip to around 25°F. If you’re out in the evening, be prepared for icy conditions as temperatures drop, along with gusty winds. Roads may be slick, especially in the evening, so exercise caution if driving or walking.

Friday, December 6:

Mostly sunny with highs around 32°F. Winds from the west at 10-15 mph. Evening lows will be around 21°F under partly cloudy skies. A cold day, with winds making it feel even chillier, so be sure to bundle up if you have outdoor plans. The clear skies in the evening will make for a crisp night, and temperatures will drop quickly after sunset.

Saturday, December 7:

Cloudy with highs around 35°F. There is a chance of flurries during the daytime. Winds from the west at 5-10 mph, gusting up to 20 mph. By evening, temperatures will drop to around 23°F under mostly clear skies, leading to a cold night. The flurries may create a brief dusting on the ground but shouldn’t accumulate much. Still, dress warmly for outdoor activities, especially in the evening when temperatures will fall quickly.

Sunday, December 8:

Mostly sunny with highs near 36°F. Winds will be light from the southwest at 4-6 mph. Evening temperatures will drop to 30°F under clear skies. A nice day for outdoor activities, but it will feel chilly once the sun sets. Be prepared for a cold evening, especially if you plan to be outside for any length of time.

Monday, December 9:

Rain developing, mainly after 3 PM. Highs around 45°F. Calm wind becoming southeast at 5
mph in the afternoon. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch
possible. Evening temperatures will drop to 37°F with continued rain and patchy fog before 8
PM. Winds from the east at 6 mph, becoming northeast after midnight. New precipitation
amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. Be prepared for slippery surfaces
overnight, especially on untreated roads and walkways.

Tuesday, December 10:

Rain likely in the morning, mainly before 9 AM. Cloudy conditions will persist, with highs near
47°F. Winds from the north at 6 mph. Evening lows will fall to 40°F under cloudy skies, with rain
returning during the night. Calm winds will shift to the south at 6 mph after midnight. Wet
conditions may persist, especially in the evening, and colder temperatures overnight could lead
to slick roads early Wednesday morning.

Wednesday, December 11:

Rain continuing throughout the day, with highs reaching 60°F. Winds from the south at 8-13
mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Evening temperatures will fall to 32°F as rain tapers off,
mainly before 2 AM. Winds shifting to the west at 10-13 mph overnight. The sharp temperature
drop may create icy conditions on roads and sidewalks early Thursday morning.

Thursday, December 12:

Mostly sunny, breezy, and cooler. Highs around 40°F. Winds from the northwest at 10-15 mph,
with gusts up to 25 mph. Evening temperatures will plummet to 22°F under clear skies. The
combination of breezy conditions and low temperatures will make it feel significantly colder, so
bundle up if heading outside. Expect dry conditions, but icy patches may linger in shaded areas
from earlier precipitation.
