The Entrepreneurship Experience
(Ages 11-16)
Instructor: Holly Carroll Cachimuel of DesignMy Education
Course #41

“The Entrepreneurship Experience” is a hands-on entrepreneurship program that transforms middle school students into budding entrepreneurs. Over the course of 20 engaging hours, we will:

Ideate – We begin by exploring who might enjoy our products and what people need or like. We’ll brainstorm innovative ideas, learn to think creatively, and develop products that resonate with potential customers.

Create – Using tools like Canva, we’ll design and customize our own unique products from the catalog. We’ll craft compelling product descriptions and set appropriate prices, bringing our ideas to life on the online marketplace.

Sell – With our products ready, we’ll dive into marketing strategies to reach our customers. We’ll develop plans to share our creations with friends, family, and our target market using various marketing strategies. By engaging in real-world selling experiences, we’ll learn how to connect with customers and promote our products effectively.

Reflect – After launching our products, we’ll analyze how things are going. We’ll consider questions like “”Are people interested in our product?”” and “”What can we do
better?”” This reflection helps us learn from our experiences and think about ways to enhance our products and strategies.

Grow – We’ll delve into financial concepts, exploring how much it costs to make our product and how much we earn when it sells. We’ll prepare presentations to share what we’ve learned with our families, celebrating our achievements and planning for future success.
By creating real products, selling to real people, and learning throughout the process, we get to experience entrepreneurship firsthand, gaining valuable insights into business and developing skills that will benefit us in many areas of life. This course is open to ages 11-16
