The following announcement was provided by the City of Watertown:
Street paving will begin on August 12, 2024, along Arsenal Street, from Greenough Blvd to School Street, and on School Street, from Arsenal Street. to 76 School Street. “No Parking” signs will be posted where necessary in the areas designated for road work. Please avoid parking your car in these posted areas.
During paving, access to and from your driveway and the roadway being worked on will be limited. This is because the asphalt needs time to cool down properly before vehicles can drive on it. Expect detours, but Arsenal Street should remain open with one lane of traffic in each direction during the paving operations. Whenever possible, consider using alternate routes.
Construction is scheduled to take place from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, though these hours may be extended depending on the progress of the work. If you have any concerns about the project, please contact the Department of Public Works at 617-972-6420.
