Four Watertown students graduated from Dickinson, Roger Williams, and Tufts in the spring of 2024, and seven local students earned honors at Fairfield, Hartford, and Tufts.

Dickinson College
Dickinson College has announced the following students graduated during the Commencement ceremony held on May 19.
Kristen Mary Beach, daughter of Christopher and Rosemary Beach of Watertown, Mass., BS, environmental science, magna cum laude, dean’s list, Watertown High School
Maia Vachon, daughter of Marc and Amy Vachon of Watertown, Mass., BS, data analytics, magna cum laude, dean’s list, Watertown High School

Roger Williams University
Roger Williams University is proud to announce that Tom Walsh, of Watertown, MA, (02472) graduated with a M.A. in Special Education in May as part of the Class of 2024.

Tufts University
Tufts University awarded more than 2,800 degrees across all schools during its ceremony commemorating the accomplishments of the Class of 2024.
Ruphael Getahun of Watertown graduated with a degree in Economics (BA) from Tufts University.

In order to be placed on the Dean’s List, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in a semester, have no outstanding or incomplete grades for that semester, and have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better.
University of Hartford
The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that Caleb Orvik of Watertown has been named to the President’s List for the spring 2024 semester.
1,968 students were named to the Dean’s List and President’s List. The Dean’s List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions, is a grade point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C. The President’s List recognizes a select group of students reaching the highest level of academic standing. To be placed on the President’s List, students must maintain a GPA of at least a 3.75 and receive grades of C or better.

Tufts University recently announced the dean’s list for the Spring 2024 semester. Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
