The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
June 14, 1 p.m.: A man pulled into the parking lot at the Watertown Police Station and encountered an officer in the authorized-personnel-only section of the lot. He was going at high rate of speed before he pulled up, and was honking his horn. The man yelled at the officer, who believed the man might be intoxicated. The man had an odor of alcohol, and glassy eyes. The officer asked if the man had consumed alcohol, and the man said he had two shots of fireball whiskey. The officer spotted a bottle of fireball whiskey that had been about a quarter consumed. The man was asked to perform field sobriety tests, and at first said no but did one test. The officer decided the man was under the influence of alcohol and took him into custody. Michael Mancuso, 49, of Arlington, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
June 15, 4:42 a.m.: Police received a call for illegal dumping and found a toilet broken into multiple pieces on the roadway at Mt. Auburn Street and Stearns Road.
June 15: A man entered the Nike store carrying a Marshalls shopping bag and placed a pair of Nike Zoom LeBron 9 shoes in the bag and left without paying. The shoes were priced at $250.
June 16, 2:40 a.m.: An officer was in Watertown Square when he observed a vehicle drive through the intersection after the light had turned red. The vehicle was pulled over and the officer detected an odor of alcohol on the man’s breath, and his eyes were bloodshot and glassy. The driver was asked if he had consumed alcohol and he said no. The man performed field sobriety tests. Andrew James, 29, of Newton, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and a red light violation.
June 16: Sometime overnight from June 15 into the 16th, someone rummaged through two unlocked motor vehicles on Ralph Street. The person stole $50 to$100 in cash.
June 16, 2:35 p.m.: A woman was seen at Nike filling multiple Roche Bros. reusable bags with sneakers and left without paying for $380 in merchandise. A short time later, Best Buy called police for a shoplifting in progress. The woman was seen with an electric scooter and was starting to put it in the back of a car. When officers approached, she was hear yelling “Go, go, go!” to the Uber driver. Sonya McNeill, 52, of Watertown, was arrested on charges of shoplifting and larceny under $1,200. She was also identified as the suspect in a shoplifting at Nike on June 14 when $200 in merchandise was taken. She was summoned to Court on a charge of shoplifting for the incident on the 14th.
June 16, 3:48 p.m.: Two women were seen working together to take items from Roche Bros. They took $238 worth of groceries.
June 17, 10:40 a.m.: A woman was seen in Marshalls taking multiple items of merchandise and leaving without paying. Security believes she had taken items on previous occasions. Police are investigating.
June 18, 11:40 a.m.: A set of IT Tech tools and a drill were taken from a truck parked on Arsenal Street. Police are investigating.
June 18: A Perry Street resident was contacted by a friend of a friend who reached out asking the person to help pay for the luggage fee at the airport. After the second time the person asked for a money to be transferred using the Zelle app, for a total of $625, the resident realized it was a scam.
June 19, 9 a.m.: Two people were sleeping on a bench on North Beacon Street. An officer responded and spoke to the man and woman and discovered both had arrest warrants in their names. Nicolette Park, 29, of Boston, was arrested on the warrant from Roxbury District Court for breaking and entering a building during the daytime for a felony. Samil Mejia, 39, of Boston, was arrested on the warrant from West Roxbury District Court for three counts of breaking and entering vehicles in the nighttime for a felony.
June 19, 1:41 p.m.: A woman went to Target and stole $110 of items by putting them into a backpack and leaving without paying.
June 19, 5 p.m.: Sometime the previous night, a Bluetooth speaker was taken from a motor vehicle parked on Eliot Street. It was worth $90.
