The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department.
Arrest
Nov. 7, 2:56 p.m.: Marshall’s security spotted a woman taking a dress and blouse and attempted to leave without paying for the items, worth a total of $51.98. The 52-year-old Brighton woman was arrested on a charge of shoplifting.
Incidents
Nov. 4, 3:27 p.m.: Two men were caught taking sunglasses from Marshall’s worth $14. The 18-year-old Waltham man and 19-year-old Boston man were escorted from the store and the store will handle the incident internally.
Nov. 6, 1:26 p.m.: A man ran out of Best Buy after taking a stack of CDs from the store. Security followed the man into the bathroom after seeing him pick up the CDs. An employee heard him opening the discs and when the suspect came out the man asked where he got the CDs and the man said he found them on the floor of the bathroom. The ran from the store, got into a vehicle and left the store, but police pulled him over on Arsenal Street by Elm Street. The 22-year-old Watertown man was summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting.
Nov. 6, 1:41 p.m.: A vehicle parked in a driveway on Chestnut Street was broken into and the glovebox was rummaged through. A handicap placard was taken.
Nov. 7, 10:25 p.m.: Target security caught an employee taking money out of a register. The man was seen taking $800 in cash from the register. When he was confronted he admitted to taking $1,800 over the past year. The 19-year-old Waltham man was summonsed to Waltham District Court for larceny over $250.
Nov. 8, 1:40 p.m.: A woman called police after her ex-boyfriend came to her home on Lexington Street and they got into an argument. During the incident, the ex-boyfriend jumped on the hood of her current boyfriend’s car and dented it. The 45-year-old Watertown man was summonsed to Waltham District Court for malicious destruction to a motor vehicle.
