The Raiders mounted a fourth quarter comeback to defeat a pesky Stoneham team 46-43 win Tuesday night.
Watertown jumped out to a 17-8 first quarter lead. Then Stoneham chipped at the lead, narrowing the margin to four at halftime and took a 35-29 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Raiders comeback was lead by guard Julio Fulcar, who scored seven of his 16 points in the final period. Stoneham held center John Korte to 13 points, including five in the fourth quarter. The junior is Watertown’s top scorer and lead the Middlesex League in scoring though 14 games with 23 points per game. He added five in the fourth quarter.
Isaac Huff scored nine to help the Raiders win their 14th game of the season. Watertown, now 14-2, goes on the road Friday night to play Wilmington, but returns to Watertown High School on Saturday, Feb. 11 to play the first game of a boys-girls double header. The boys host Boston United at 4 p.m. while the girls face Belmont at 5:45 p.m. in a game rescheduled from Jan. 31.
