The National Weather Service warns that a major snow storm is heading toward the Boston area Wednesday evening through Thursday, and as much as a foot of snow could fall on Watertown.
A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Wednesday through Thursday and ending in the early hours of Friday morning. The heavy snowfall could impact both commutes.
Snowfall could be from 8 to 12 inches, according to the NWS. WBZ Channel 4’s weather report says there could be as much as 14 inches in the Boston area.
Winds will be 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. The high Thursday will be 28 degrees.
