An international company will headquarter one of its North America divisions in Watertown.
Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will be moving into the building at 65 Grove St. The building had been occupied by GE Ionics before being gutted and renovated over the past couple years.
“This new headquarters will be home to the sales, marketing, project management and executive positions. In addition, the Watertown location will house a new customer experience center and provide space for future innovation and collaboration activities within Robert Bosch North America,” said Linda Beckmeyer, Media and Public Relations Manager for Bosch.
Bosch’s new Watertown office will open on May 1, 2017. The company also has an office in Londonderry, N.H., and employees will be relocated from that office and one in Florida.
“As part of this transfer, about 20 Bosch associates from Londonderry and Ft. Lauderdale have been offered positions in the new Watertown office,” Beckmeyer said.
East Watertown Town Councilor Angeline Kounelis said the announcement was “good news.”
She was told Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. will occupy 18.000 sq. ft. of the redeveloped building, with an option for another 22,000 sq. ft. The building at 65 Grove St. will have more than 118,000 sq. ft. of leasable space.
