WFPL & the Watertown Public Arts & Culture Committee present the Winter Concert Series. The Winter Concert Series runs from December through March and happens the first Sunday of the month! As in previous years, our concert series features talented, local artists. Performances are free and open to all. Let the music begin!

Naomi Westwater
Sunday, 12/3 | 2 PM | Join Naomi Westwater and their folk band for a winter celebration of Yule. Naomi will play traditional songs, modern holiday songs, and original songs to celebrate the season. Naomi Westwater is a queer, Black-multiracial singer-songwriter from Massachusetts. Their work combines folk music, poetry, and spirituality. Their hope is that through ritual and storytelling they can aid nature in the end of capitalism and the return of community, creativity, and collective joy. Naomi holds a Master of Music in Contemporary Performance and Production from Berklee College of Music and she is a part of the Club Passim Folk Collective. She was nominated for a 2021 and 2022 Boston Music Award for best singer-songwriter, and has been featured in Under The Radar, WBUR, Vanyaland, WGBH, Allston Pudding, and The Bluegrass Situation.
The Fresh Pond Five
Sunday, 1/7 | 2 PM | The Fresh Pond Five is a wind quintet composed of musicians from the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, a near half-century-old community music organization dedicated to making great music accessible to diverse audiences. The quintet’s members (Lisa Henske, flute; Ariel Fullmer, oboe; Allison Eck, clarinet; Jerry Blum, bassoon; Charles Williams, French horn) rehearse near Fresh Pond—hence the ensemble’s name—and believe in the enduring aesthetic and energetic appeal of wind quintet music.
New England Irish Harp Orchestra
Sunday, 2/4 | 2 PM | The New England Irish Harp Orchestra performs Traditional Irish dance tunes, slow airs, and songs. Members span a wide age range and come from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The Orchestra has been performing for nineteen years throughout New England and Ireland. Regina Delaney (Director) is a NH State Council on the Arts artist on the Traditional Arts and Arts in Health Care Roster.
Geraldine Barney
Sunday, 3/3 | 2 PM | Geraldine Barney is Diné, Navajo- a Multimedia artist and singer/songwriter who is no stranger to the New Rep stage and has developed Soundscapes for several new works in Boston. Straddling two cultures is a prominent theme in both her art and music. Musically, Geraldine was selected by ethnomusicologists from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History to be one of the artists on two CDs: “Music of New Mexico: Native American Traditions” and “Heartbeat: Voices of First Nations Women”, both on the Smithsonian Folkways label.
