It also provides swim lessons and hosts some of the Cops and Rec programs with the Watertown Police and the Watertown Recreation Department. The members of the Historical Society of Watertown believes that a sense of history is fundamental to understanding human experience, collects, preserves, and shares materials from Watertown’s past, so that present and future generations can comprehend more fully their predecessors, their community, and themselves. The Society’s headquarters is one of the oldest homes in Watertown, the Edmund Fowle House. The Historical Society is raising money to do maintenance on the 250-year-old house on Marshall Street.
