Watertown Summer Basketball League Playoffs Reach Finals

It’s not March Madness, but Summer Madness in Watertown as the Summer Basketball League has reached the finals in 2022.

The teams feature current and former college basketball players. The finals are best of three for both the Papas Elite League and the O’Brien-Jerahian Legends League. Games take place at the outdoor court behind the Watertown Boys & Girls Club.

In game one of the Papas Elite on Thursday night, the second seeded Donohue’s Kaos Club defeated top seeded New Day 61-53. Game 2 will be on Monday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. If necessary, Game 3 will be on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8 p.m.

The O’Brien-Jerahian Legends finals began with a victory for No. 1 seed Kaos Club over the third seed, Control Club, by a score of 48-41. Game 2 of the Legends League finals will take place at 7 p.m. on Aug. 29, and if necessary Game 3 will be at 7 p.m. on Aug. 31.
