Two Watertown homes were broken into recently, both while residents were home.
The first break-in took place on July 15 at 9:49 p.m. on Garfield Street. About two hours later, at 11:48 p.m., a home on Barnard Avenue was broken into.
Watertown Police seek information and surveillance footage from residents of those areas.
Police also warn that residents should be sure to secure their homes, saying “Please be reminded to lock your doors & windows (even second floor).”
“We believe that the suspect(s) entered the homes through unlocked rear windows. One of which was a second floor window,” Watertown Police said in a Facebook post. “No one was injured and nothing was taken. Please help us by looking out for neighbors that may be away, and always report anything you may think is suspicious immediately.”
Garfield Street was also the location of a home that was entered and ransacked on July 7. The home was entered through a second floor widow. Police said they believe the break-ins are connected.
Police ask residents to review their surveillance video and contact police if they see anything suspicious. Watertown Police can be reached at 617-972-6500.
So do you think the Police or the residents are lying??
Both have been known to do so.
So these people called the police to investigate break-ins that never happened.
Sounds like kids and not the work of burglars who would know what they are doing.
Or people who broke in and only then realized that people were home.
Both of these are reasonable conclusions…as opposed to some others!
