Volunteers from Watertown-based WiTricity spent an afternoon cleaning up a section of the Charles River near Watertown Square.
A team of 25 employees from the company located on Water Street in Watertown cleaned the river bank near the bridge over Galen Street on May 5. The clean-up was done under the guidance of the Charles River Conservancy.
The project is part of WiTricity’s commitment to the community and environmental responsibility, the company said in an announcement.
“We were pleased to be able to use our team-building afternoon in service to the community that we call home,” the announcement said.
The company is a global leader in wireless charging, focusing on wireless charging for electric vehicles, and is located in Watertown Square.
Nice job! Thanks very much for doing this.
