LOWELL — Watertown High School’s Mason Andrade broke a 3-3 tie in the third period to beat Stoneham and send the boys hockey team to the MIAA Div. 4 State Final on Sunday.
The Raiders jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead with two goals from Alec Banosian and the third from Michael Cormier.
In the second, Stoneham dominated and tied the game going into the locker room for the second intermission.
In the third, Andrade picked up a rebound off a shot by Banosian and poked it past the goalie to go up 4-3 less than four minutes into the third.
The Raiders held on to win, and advance to the State Final on Sunday in Boston. They will face the winner of Norwell and Sandwich, who play Tuesday night.
